At the time of its introduction, the EF62 was one of the most powerful DC electric locomotives in the world, designed to handle heavy passenger and freight trains on severe gradients. This model faithfully reproduces the EF62’s large body, distinctive front-end design, rooftop equipment, and resistor layout.
