Elegant antique sewing or work table dating from the early 20th century. This piece comes from a private family estate and was inherited from the seller’s Dutch grandmother. The table features a hinged top opening to reveal an interior with compartments, an original mirror mounted inside the lid and a drawer beneath. It stands on turned wooden legs connected by stretchers and is decorated with a carved floral motif on the drawer front. Original brass fittings and hinges are preserved. The wood appears to be probably walnut or mahogany (furnished). Originally used as a ladies’ sewing or work table, today it also serves beautifully as a decorative side table.
