The red reserva wine from Bodegas Herederos del Marqués de Riscal is still one of the red wines from Rioja Alavesa that preserves the essence of Rioja classicism.

With high aging potential in the bottle due to its balanced acidity and tannin balance, this Rioja reserva red offers elegance, freshness and much finesse.

Marqués de Riscal Reserva 2011 is made with Tempranillo and a small contribution from Graciano and Mazuelo, which add complexity.

The fruit comes from vineyards over 15 years old grown in Rioja Alavesa on argillaceous-calcareous soils, excellent for producing high-quality wines.

A long 25-month élevage in barriques rounded this Reserva.

A fresh, elegant red wine with great aging potential that characterizes wines from this bodega Herederos del Marqués de Riscal.

When wines are so old, it is better to let them rest again in the winery for up to 2 months so the sediment settles. To improve the tasting, it is recommended to open the bottle 2 hours before drinking for better aeration.
