1937 - Sächsische Filztuchfabrik Rodewisch (Germany) to Greece - Rare Industrial Invoice
An exceptional and well-preserved original invoice (Rechnung) dated August 20, 1937, representing a fascinating piece of European industrial history from the Interwar period. Issued by the world-renowned Sächsische Filztuchfabrik G.m.b.H. in Rodewisch, Saxony. This is not just a piece of paper, but a "survivor" of the pre-war trade routes between Nazi Germany and the Kingdom of Greece.
Sächsische Filztuchfabrik (Rodewisch) was once a global leader in technical textiles, famous for housing the world's largest looms. The factory was later nationalized during the DDR era and eventually demolished in 2009, making original pre-WWII documents from this firm increasingly difficult to find.
20 August 1937, valued in Reichsmarks (RM).
Features a striking Art Deco-style bi-color (Green/Black) letterhead with the company’s iconic globe logo.
Contains original purple archival stamps and handwritten accountant signatures/notations.
Excellent vintage condition for its age. Crisp paper, clear typography, and original punch holes for filing. Minimal edge wear (see photos for details).
Strong custom made packing, registered shipping.
