A fine collection of very diverse old glass beads, originally produced in Bohemia (Czech republic), in the 1960`s. These beads were produced almost exclusively for the Ghanaian market, where they were very popular with the Ashanti-people. There are 4 ropes of beads of different designs and colours. all with linear decorations.(Dim.; 12 x 6 mm). An exeption are the dark green beads which simulate the old "chevron" beads; multi-layered in white ,red and green. (Dim.; 12 x 6 mm.) Added are also 2 large ropes of glass beads; in this case "mais" beads; small yellow beads with fine thin lines of red, white and blue. Very attractive beads. All ropes were collected in Kumasi in Ghana in the late 1990`s.
