Faustino I Gran Reserva is the flagship wine of Bodegas Faustino, one of the most prestigious and historic wineries in the Rioja DOCa. Founded in 1861 in Oyón (Rioja Alavesa), since the mid-20th century, especially under the direction of the Martínez family and Don Julio Faustino, it has established itself as one of the world's leading exporters of Rioja Gran Reserva. The 2012 vintage 75 aniversario spends approximately 26 to 30 months in oak barrels (a blend of American and French oak) during its aging process. After barrel aging, Faustino I rests for several years in the bottle before release, as required by the Gran Reserva designation. In Rioja, this means a minimum of 5 years of combined aging in barrel and bottle before formal release. It is always stored in a private, temperature-controlled cellar. IMPORTANT!
