2020 Domaine des Comtes Lafon - Meursault - 1 Pullo (0.75L)
The 2020 Meursault villages had only been assembled into tank a week prior to my visit, but was still showing quite well, offering up a complex nose of apple, hazelnut, chalky soil tones, spring flowers, a touch of vanillin oak and a gently smoky topnote. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied, bright and tangy, with a good core, fine soil undertow, good focus and balance and a long, complex finish. A fine bottle of AC that should drink very nicely right from release. (Drink between 2022-2040)
