Château La Haye has a very long tradition and is one of the oldest castles in St. Estèphe. The first vineyard dates from 1557, when Mr. Janot Bernard planted the first vines. This property remained in the same family for 370 years, until Belgian Chris Cardon purchased the property in 2012. The terroir is 19.50 hectares and the average age of the vines is between 40 and 50 years. The plantings are very high: 8300 vines per hectare, making the wines very concentrated. The harvest is done manually.
