Frédéric Boilet (b. 1960) is one of the leading authors of nou manga, a movement that blends the aesthetics of Japanese manga with the sensibility and themes of European comics. Boilet has lived several years in Japan, an experience that has deeply influenced his style, which is more intimate and measured than traditional manga.
