Born in 1950 in Toulon, Pierini completed his apprenticeship at the renowned Biot glassworks under master Eloi Monod, before establishing his own independent workshop in Biot in 1980 — housed in a historic oil mill. Designated ND6 and described on its certificate as “Œuvre en Verre” (glass artwork), this ovoid flacon exemplifies Pierini’s mastery. The body is blown in vibrant sea-green glass with sweeping spiral ribbing that creates a sense of fluid motion across the entire surface. Encased within the thick glass walls are vivid internal inclusions — rich swirls of crimson, cobalt, yellow, silver, and white — suspended like a frozen garden, visible from every angle. The matching stopper echoes the teal-green tones in a compressed, swirling dome form. Gold dust flecks catch the light throughout.
