A fine and substantial English sterling silver cigarette case, crafted by the renowned Birmingham silversmith Henry Matthews & Sons Ltd (HE&S).

The case features an elegant engine-turned decoration on both exterior panels, framed by a refined geometric border. The interior retains its original gilt (gold-washed) finish, a desirable feature that provided additional protection against oxidation and enhanced the luxurious character of the piece.
