Myyjän antama kuvaus

This Omega Bumper Automatic from 1944 is a fantastic example of early automatic watchmaking, featuring with its caliber—one of Omega’s first self-winding movements. The bumper movement design, which uses a semi-rotating weight with spring-loaded buffers, adds a distinctive mechanical feel and also sound that collectors appreciate.

Housed in a 32.5mm stainless steel case, the applied Arabic numerals and raised hour markers, combined with a minute track, give the dial a clean yet highly legible appearance. The hands, adding to the watch’s vintage appeal but still very clean and impressive.

The serial number of the mechanism dates this piece to 1944, placing it in the heart of Omega’s wartime production era. With reference 2438-1, this watch represents a significant chapter in Omega’s history, blending wartime durability with the innovation of automatic winding technology.
