History
Introduced in the mid-20th century, the Genève line was originally conceived by Omega to represent top-tier watches manufactured to exacting standards in Geneva. By the late 1960s and 1970s, the Genève collection had evolved to encompass a wide variety of forward-thinking designs, often featuring bold case shapes and reliable automatic calibers. The Caliber 1481 was a robust movement known for its practical performance and durability. Today, a well-preserved tonneau Genève from this era offers a distinct and highly wearable slice of Omega's diverse design history.
