W. Shakespeare, Le soir des rois, Henry V, Beaucoup de bruit pour rien, Jules César.
2 volumes out of the 12 volume series "Les Chefs-d'Oeuvres de Shakespeare, illustrée par Jean Gradassi". French translation by V. Hugo. Chant de Sphères, 1972 and 1974. 195 and 174 pages. Richly blind-stamped and gold decorated full leather bindings protected in slipcases. Printed on thick paper. Top edge gilt, the other edges uncut. Each play is illustrated by 3 full page plates, 3 vignettes at the beginning of acts, and a number of small decorative tail pieces.
Very good condition. The spines a little sun faded. On box bumped at one corner causing also a hardly noticeable bump to the book corner inside (pictured in last in photo). Note: some of the close-up photos are a little out of focus at the borders. The printing of the illustrations is perfectly sharp!
