After this expedition many pieces were found by local peoples. These specimens were acquired in 2025 from a trusted Algerian meteorite dealer. Bechar 007 is an officially named and classified lunar meteorite, published in the Meteoritical Bulletin, ensuring full scientific recognition and authenticity.
