Dial and Hands
The silver dial displays prominent, even spotting and patina across the surface, giving the watch a deeply patinated character. Applied indices with black inserts complement the date window at three o'clock. The dauphine hands also feature black inserts and exhibit visible oxidation and spotting on their metal surfaces.
Case and Crystal
The gold-tone case is defined by its signature dog-leg lugs and a stepped gold-tone bezel. The case shows honest wear, with moderate scratches on the flanks and lugs, as well as some plating wear visible along the sharp edges. The stainless steel caseback features a gold observatory medallion. The watch retains its original signed decagonal crown, which displays the Omega logo and shows expected wear. A domed acrylic crystal protects the dial, showing light surface scratches.
Movement
Inside beats the chronometer-certified automatic caliber 561. The movement presents beautifully with clean copper-colored plates and bridges, while the rotor shows minimal wear. The screws and jewels appear in good condition. Engravings proudly display OMEGA WATCH Co SWISS, TWENTY-FOUR 24 JEWELS, and ADJUSTED FIVE (5) POSITIONS AND TEMPERATURE. The timegrapher recorded +5+7s/day. Exhibiting remarkable accuracy and consistency, performing brilliantly for a vintage timepiece. The movement was serviced on 1 September 2026.
Strap
The watch is fitted with its original signed bracelet, featuring a gold-tone beads of rice design and a signed clasp. The bracelet is heavily worn, exhibiting significant plating loss, wear, and noticeable stretch and deformation. It accommodates a maximum wrist size of 20 cm.
Condition
Good vintage condition. The movement was serviced on 1 September 2026 and, supported by the recorded timegrapher result, is performing very strongly. The case displays moderate scratches and plating wear on the sharp edges, while the bezel shows minor dings. The patinated dial and oxidized hands reflect its age, and the original bracelet shows significant stretch and plating loss.
