Vintage Two-Stroke Engine Cutaway Model – Technical School / Driving School Demonstrator, Poland, c. 1960s
A rare and highly decorative sectional model of a single-cylinder two-stroke petrol engine, made as an educational demonstrator for technical training or driving schools.
The cutaway construction clearly reveals the piston, crank mechanism, cylinder ports, air/fuel intake and exhaust passages. The mechanism is hand-operated by the wooden crank handle, allowing the internal movement to be demonstrated.
The cast-metal engine is mounted on a substantial polished wooden base. The original instructional colour coding in blue, red, yellow and black remains visible, giving the piece a particularly striking industrial appearance. A Champion spark plug is fitted at the top.
Models of this type were used to teach the basic principles of internal-combustion engines and are now highly sought after as automotive memorabilia, technical-school artefacts and industrial design objects. Comparable BIO-FIZ models from Poland are documented as two-stroke teaching models used in technical schools and driving instruction.
Period: Approximately 1960 (approximately 65 years old)
Origin: Poland
Type: Single-cylinder two-stroke petrol engine cutaway model
Materials: Cast metal, steel and wood
Features: Working hand crank, visible piston and internal engine mechanism, Champion spark plug
Dimensions: approx. 38 × 27 × 14 cm
Weight: approx. 1.95 kg
Condition: Excellent vintage condition with attractive age-related wear and patina. The model is visually complete and the mechanical parts can be operated by hand.
A rare and exceptionally characterful piece of automotive and technical history, equally suited to a collector, study, workshop, garage or industrial-style interior.
