This is a collaboration model between the globally popular anime series *Evangelion* and G-SHOCK.
To mark the 30th anniversary of the TV series’ premiere, we commissioned Ikuo Yamashita—who serves as the mechanical designer for the *Evangelion* series—to design this model.
The entire G-SHOCK is adorned with an image of Evangelion Unit-01; the strap at the 12 o’clock position features the horns from Unit-01’s head armor, the bezel depicts Unit-01’s face, and the area from the lower part of the bezel to the strap at the 6 o’clock position showcases the left arm poised to hurl Longinus’ Spear.
The sub-dial hand at the 9 o’clock position incorporates an Angel motif, and the Y-shaped part dividing the dial features the iconic “CAUTION” pattern from the series. Every detail—from the “NEON GENESIS” inscription on the bezel, to the NERV logo at the end of the band, to the 30th-anniversary logo on the case back—captures the world of Evangelion.
