A Fine Italian Mid-Century Inlaid Bedroom Suite, retailed by Mobili Arredamenti Pacifici - Prete, Rome, circa 1940–1950.

A highly refined pair of coordinating storage pieces, comprising a three-drawer commode (chest of drawers) and a matching seven-drawer settimanale (tallboy / semainier). Both pieces are beautifully executed in the decorative Italian Neo-Classical and Louis XV revival taste.

The label inside the drawer indicates the piece was retailed by Pacifici - Prete (later known as Artlinea Arredamenti), a historic furniture and interior design shop located at Via Napoleone III 82-84 in Rome, which has been active since 1924.

Each piece features a shaped, serpentine front and elegant, slender cabriole legs. The facades and side panels are richly adorned with central floral marquetry panels, highlighted by intricate scrolling gold-gilt hand-painted accents against an ebony- and warm wood-toned lacquer background.

Outfitted with finely chased brass drawer pulls and ornamental corner mounts that trace the delicate contours of the frame.

Excellent vintage condition. Showing minor surface wear, light scuffs, and gentle patination consistent with age and careful residential use. Structures are highly stable with smooth-gliding drawers.
