This magnificent work offers a panoramic and hyper-stylized view of the city of Paris, transmuted into a landscape of jewels and mystery. The artist has employed a dual palette, deep and contrasted, to reimagine the City of Light. The urban fabric of traditional Parisian rooftops is presented in a deep, rich cobalt, creating a dense and textured network of forms that forms the base of the composition.
Emerging from this cobalt base, the iconic monuments —the Eiffel Tower, the dome of the Pantheon and the golden dome of the church of Saint-Paul-Saint-Louis— rise as beacons in gold leaf, shining with an almost organic intensity. The city trees have also been transformed into three-dimensional clusters of gold, punctuating the scene.
