About the painting: “Into the Blue (I)” evokes the quiet expanse of the ocean through a refined, minimalist composition. Soft whites, delicate greys, and tranquil blue tones create a subtle interplay between sky and sea, while the distant horizon lends the painting a gentle sense of depth. White structural paste adds texture and dimension, introducing a tactile element that enhances the interplay of light and surface. Balanced between abstraction and seascape, the work captures a moment of stillness and openness. Its restrained palette, subtle textures, and spacious composition evoke a sense of serenity and understated elegance, bringing the calming beauty of the ocean into a contemporary space. About the artist: Andreea Zecheru is a known abstract artist based in Hamburg, Germany. Many of her works are held in private and institutional collections across Europe and the US. “My work begins where the visible meets the felt—an attempt to capture the layers of perception and reduce them to their most essential, minimalist resonance. I approach the canvas as a field of relationships, exploring the duality between control and spontaneity, stillness and movement. Through an intuitive process of observation and response, I seek to create spaces that invite stillness and attention, allowing energy and clarity to coexist.” - Andreea Zecheru
