Myyjän antama kuvaus
Casa Vinicola Casetta, Barbaresco Riserva 2006
Producer: Casa Vinicola Casetta
Wine: Barbaresco Riserva
Vintage: 2006
Number of bottles: 4
Size: 0.75L
Grapes: 100% Nebbiolo
Aging: The wine rests for a total of at least 50 months (over 4 years) in large, 55-hectolitre Slavonian oak casks
Alc.: 13,5%
This dream of a Barbaresco arrives after a long life, leaving steady, uniform, medium sized arches on the glass. It has little pigment as one would expect for a wine of this age with very slow, lingering tears. The color is that of an old sherry, with a faint garnet hue and a mere whisper a breath of orange at the rim. The finesse and depth of the nose are extraordinary: only vaguely mature, it possesses the vitality and fullness of youth, with distinct, clearly defined contours. Its horizon is boundless, ranging from citrus notes to a delicate balsamic touch. The entry on the palate is seductive; there is an irresistible, seamless integration entirely free of harshness between the long, sweeping tannins and the wine’s essence, moving with the grace of a dance. It has a firm, focused core, with unexpected, soaring peaks of ethereal freshness. A truly rare and unforgettable glass.
