Made in the USA, installed in 1979 (machine number 1687641, CE type 893, group 82C). The Selectric series introduced the revolutionary rotating typeball mechanism, replacing traditional typebars, and became the standard in offices worldwide. More importantly, its technology laid the foundation for early computer terminals such as the IBM 2741, which used the Selectric mechanism as an input device.
