Rare box published in 1982 , in a luxuous edition limited to 300 copies by Kazuhiko Fukuda , one of the best specialist of Shunga Art, Ukiyo-e , painting and woodcut , This edition is devoted to the Nishiki-e Art ( the technic to add color in the woodcuts, appears in 1760 )
You have the first master of this technic Harunobu , with also, Ruysei, Kiyonaga , Utamaro or Shunsho
50 plates , numbered from 1 to 50 , with title , date, author and copyright at the back, They are printed on bistre card , stayed in excellent conditions, very few manipulated ( you will note a small horn on the first, only one with )
Fukuda used passed tones to restitute the reality of these works from the end of 18th century.
A complete booklet of 10 pages with Fukuda's commentaries on the birth of Nishiki-e and about all the differents plates ( slights folds)
he plates are 21 x 29,7 cm, protected in a sliver card slipcase
All contanied in box with violet silk cover with silver letters stamped. The corners of the box are slightly worn, an old tape at the back.
All stayed excellent, except some yellow stains on the booklet on the first page ( inside stayed clear), The plates are excellent and the box too.
