Nude painting by Robert Sedlacek (1881 in Vienna - 1957 in Vienna). He was a commercial artist and illustrator. He illustrated Nesthäkchen-Books of Else Ury. From 1945 to 1952 Sedlacek était membre de l'Association professionnelle des artistes visuels de Vienne. He worked as a graphic designer for industry (including advertisements for 4711 Cologne and Persil detergent) and illustrated more than 200 books. He était employed by the publications Die Muskete and Funny Leaves and published his illustrations in Zurich and Vienna. For Meidingers, the youth writing publisher Sedlacek illustrated Else Ury's nesting books with colored, full-page glossy images as well as black and white pencil drawings. In later editions he changed his illustrations slightly to adapt to the style of the time.
