A female figure seated on a stool, from the Voodoo cult in West Africa – Vodun pronounced.
It is an altar object; it is placed together with other figures and receives offerings.
Mainly kaolin, chalk, talc, gin, soap or cigarettes.
Hair braided into braids, clear face, gaze directed into the distance, arms bent and slightly extended
in anticipation of the offerings.
Rare is the depiction of wide sandals with band/jewelry adorned.
