Elegant 39mm Swiss Cylinder Pocket Watch – Geneve – Silver Case – 19th Century
Offered is a beautiful antique Swiss pocket watch with cylinder escapement, signed Vacheron and Geneve on the dust cover.
This elegant timepiece features a clean white enamel dial with classic Roman numerals and finely shaped original hands. The dial remains in good condition with light signs of age consistent with its period.
The inner cover is engraved:
“Vacheron
GENEVE
Cylindre
4 rubis”
The movement is a traditional Swiss cylinder escapement with 4 jewels, beautifully constructed with gilt wheels and blued screws, visible under the inner case cover.
The case is finely engine-turned (guilloché) and bears Swiss silver hallmarks (0.800 silver). The exterior back features a central shield cartouche, suitable for engraving.
