This embroidered work depicts **Luxing (the Star of Emolument)**, one of the three auspicious deities collectively known as the “Three Stars of Fortune, Prosperity, and Longevity” (Fu, Lu, and Shou). The figure appears in the dignified guise of a high-ranking official, wearing a formal court hat and robes. His composed and solemn expression conveys authority and stability. In his hand he holds a *ruyi* scepter — the most characteristic attribute of Luxing — symbolizing success in official career, smooth advancement, generous salary, and family prosperity. Historically, the *ruyi* has been closely associated with blessings for rank, income, and flourishing lineage.

The embroidery is set against a red ground, a color traditionally representing joy, good fortune, and auspiciousness. The figure and flowing robe patterns are richly executed in gold couched thread, combined with satin stitch and layered needle techniques.
