Large Goblet or Vase & Liquor Carafe – Le Creusot Production (Baccarat / Saint-Louis)
Model illustrated in the Launay Hautin Catalogue (see attached page).
An elegant and rare ensemble composed of a large goblet (which may also be presented as a vase) and a refined liquor carafe, attributed to the prestigious production of Cristallerie du Creusot, historically linked to both Baccarat and Saint-Louis.
The model is documented in the 19th-century catalogue of Launay, Hautin & Cie (page attached to the listing), confirming its historical authenticity and commercial distribution during that period.
A beautifully balanced silhouette.
The large goblet stands with architectural presence and may equally function as a decorative vase. The liquor carafe complements it harmoniously, featuring a graceful neck and well-proportioned stopper.
This ensemble reflects the excellence of early French crystal manufacture, at a time when Le Creusot production played a significant role in supplying the Parisian luxury market.
Very good antique condition, with light signs of age consistent with 19th-century pieces. No major chips or cracks observed (please refer to photographs for full condition details).
A rare opportunity for collectors of early French crystal and documented catalogue models.
Height — 24; 11.3 cm
Top diameter — 3.7; 9.2 cm
Base diameter — 5.3; 8 cm
Circumference — 25 cm
