Description fournie par le vendeur

“The Devil’s Bible” coin is inspired by one of the most fascinating medieval manuscripts. With its mysterious and dark theme, it captures attention and makes for a unique collectible. Struck in 1 oz of pure silver with detailed colorization and high-quality finish.

The Codex Gigas, also known as the “Devil’s Bible,” is the largest surviving medieval manuscript in the world. It was likely created in the early 12th century in a Benedictine monastery in Bohemia (present-day Czech Republic). It contains, among other texts, the Bible and various historical writings, all written in Latin. The manuscript is famous for its large illustration of the devil and the legends surrounding its origin. During the Thirty Years’ War (1648), it was taken as war booty by Sweden, where it is still preserved today.
