Hermès - Gilet - Vintage

This is a vintage Hermès silk vest featuring the "Charreria" print. Designed by artist Jean de Fougerolle and first issued as a scarf in 1982, this pattern celebrates the traditional Mexican equestrian sport of charreria.

Motifs: The print depicts charros (Mexican cowboys) performing lasso feats, wild horses, and ornate revolvers.
Material: Crafted from 100% silk twill, a hallmark of Hermès' clothing and accessories.

Era: 1982/1983

You can also find the designer's signature, J. de Fougerolle, integrated into the artwork, typically near the bottom of the horse illustrations.
