Splendide icône contemporaine représentant Saint Michel Archange, réalisée entièrement à la main selon les canons iconographiques stricts de la tradition byzantine.
L'œuvre est empreinte d'une profonde valeur spirituelle et territoriale: l'artiste est originaire de Monte Sant'Angelo, centre mondial du culte micéal, et a reçu sa formation artistique et spirituelle à la célèbre Abbaye de Santa Maria di Pulsano, lieu d'excellence pour la tradition monastique et iconographique.
L'icône est réalisée sur une planche de bois préparée selon les méthodes traditionnelles. Pour le doré et l'argenté de l'arrière-plan et des détails, la technique de la feuille d'or et de la feuille d'argent a été appliquée, créant un contraste de lumière saisissant qui met en valeur le regard et le drapé de l'Archange.
