Rare Chinese Ge-Type Crackle Glazed Covered Jar

A rare Chinese Ge-type crackle glazed covered jar, decorated throughout in a soft creamy ivory glaze with an attractive and naturally developed network of crackles. The fine craquelure displays elegant and well-balanced lines across both the body and cover, creating the classic appearance associated with traditional Ge ware.

The base bears a blue double-circle mark. The jar stands 25 cm high including the cover and weighs approximately 2.2 kg.
