Provenance: Bob Bourdon (1916-1995), (inscription from Walker Evans). FIRST EDITION, INSCRIBED BY EVANS to ski racer and author Bob Bourdon. "These are pictures impelled by a concern too serious, and a love too intense, to permit the overt intrusion of sentiment" (Szarkowski, Introduction).
