"Papillon", which is the french word for Butterfly, was shot in my studio and the butterflies, which were imported from Thailand for the needs of the shoot were placed one by one on the model's body, a very delicate process since they are extremely fragile.
Giclee Limited Edition on archival, HAHNEMUHLE GERMAN ETCHING, which has a heavy, velvety textured surface with incredible contrast and detail, and lends the image a very painterly look. Printed using Epson SureColor P9570 (12-color UltraChrome Pro12 pigment inks!! Fade-Resistant Guarantee of Over 100 years.

ELENA PARASKEVA is an alumna of Hasselblad Masters, World Masters of Photography, LensCulture, Aesthetica, Prix de la Photographie Paris, etc., and was named PHOTOGRAPHER OF THE YEAR (2024 / 2023 / 2021 / 2018) by 4 international photographic societies.
She has been a juror for the Florida Museum of Photographic Arts since 2021 and serves as a judge for several international photography competitions each year. She is a past Adobe instructor and ambassador.
Her work is held by institutional buyers including the Public Art Department of Sweden (Västra Götaland Government), Boston Hospital USA (major 500cm installation at the Children’s Cancer Wing entrance), Australian National University, Thalassa Museum, etc.
She has exhibited at the European Parliament in Brussels, as well as at major biennales and galleries in NYC, Paris, Tokyo, London, Dubai, Vienna, Barcelona, Munich, Kuala Lumpur, Florence, Frankfurt, Málaga, Linz, Graz, and Siena.

ELENA PARASKEVA has received extensive international recognition across fine art photography, conceptual imagery, and contemporary visual storytelling.

She was selected by Saatchi Art as one of the “Artists To Watch”. The chairman of the IAA described her as “one of the biggest talents in the photography industry”. The curator of the Florida Museum of Photographic Arts stated she has “an impressive portfolio and great expertise in photography”. Adobe described her work as “amazing conceptual imagery”, and ScanArt International called her “a master of surrealism and conceptual narratives”.
