Description fournie par le vendeur

A rare hand-blown French crystal decanter by Saint-Louis, with a very elegant, almost architectural shape and a soft pale green tint that catches the light beautifully.
In its striking form with a long, refined neck rising from a square base with gently rounded shoulders. It feels balanced between structure and softness. The crystal itself has that subtle movement and tiny air inclusions you only get with traditional hand-blown glass, which gives it real character.
It still keeps its original Saint-Louis paper label and carries the Musée du Louvre mark on the base. This piece was created in connection with a collaboration with the Louvre Museum, which already adds a strong sense of provenance and history.
This bottle, called “Mercure”, is part of a group of objects referenced in the Louvre’s galleries of Italian antiquities. The official reproduction was entrusted to Saint-Louis, who recreated it with remarkable precision of the slight imperfections of antique glass.
Rare & collectible example of French crystal work, where museum history and everyday beauty meet in a very understated way.
Height — 25.8 cm
Top diameter — 6.2 cm
Base — 5 x 5 cm
