This is a commemorative edition marking the 1500th anniversary of Georgia’s capital. It is a richly illustrated chronicle of the city. The album traces the development of Tbilissi from ancient times through the Soviet period. Most of the material showcases the city’s achievements by the 1950s—new boulevards, monumental buildings, industrial facilities, and cultural institutions. The book contains numerous photographs capturing the city’s appearance at that time, including scenes of daily life and architectural landmarks.
