Authentic Polish military Grunwald Badge (Odznaka Grunwaldzka), instituted July 22, 1945. Awarded to Polish LWP soldiers and resistance fighters for the final WW2 campaigns and the Battle of Berlin.Design: Gothic shield with Polish military eagle, crossed "Grunwald Swords", and "1410 GRUNWALD / 1945 BERLIN" inscriptions.Type: Die-struck / stamped variant with crisp counter-relief reverse.Material: Bronze/Tombac with beautiful, uncleaned natural dark patina.Attachment: Threaded screw-back post, period-shortened by the veteran for comfortable wear.Set Includes: Shield badge, original vintage circular locking nut, and green protective wool felt backing.Condition: Very good vintage shape with sharp details. The screw post is firm. The locking nut has a stable, minor age-related hairline crack on the right edge (visible in macro photo), but threads smoothly and tightens securely.
