Featuring an elegant sculptural design inspired by the coquille Saint-Jacques, each plate is molded with six shell-shaped compartments surrounding a central well designed for lemon, sauce, or garnish. Finished in a rich honey-brown glaze, these iconic French serving plates combine functionality with timeless decorative appeal and are ideal for serving scallops, oysters, seafood, or appetizers.
The set consists of six matching plates and remains in excellent vintage condition. One plate presents a small kiln-related glaze imperfection on the rim, originating from the original manufacturing process. In addition, a few plates display minor firing marks and glaze support traces created during production. These are authentic manufacturing characteristics commonly found on vintage French majolica and should not be considered damage or defects.
