Description fournie par le vendeur
An elegant antique Meisenthal glass decanter, distinguished by its refined proportions and beautifully executed acid-etched decoration. The body is adorned with an intricate neoclassical frieze featuring scrolling foliage, stylized palmettes, and a geometric key pattern, all finely engraved with exceptional precision. The front displays an elegant intertwined monogram, adding a personalized and aristocratic character to the piece.
The original faceted stopper is equally refined, decorated with a delicate gilded eight-pointed star visible from above, an uncommon decorative detail that enhances the sophistication of the decanter. Its slender neck and balanced silhouette reflect the high-quality craftsmanship associated with the renowned Meisenthal glassworks.
The decanter is preserved in excellent antique condition. It has only a microscopic chip on the rim, barely visible and insignificant to the overall presentation, together with light, age-appropriate traces of use consistent with an authentic antique object.
A refined and highly decorative example of French art glass, combining elegant engraving, original gilded details, and timeless design. An exceptional addition for collectors of Meisenthal glass, fine antique tableware, or distinguished 19th-and early 20th-century decorative arts.
