Description fournie par le vendeur

An elegant and impressive French Cristal de Montcenis centerpiece bowl, dating to the 19th century, masterfully crafted from fine, hand-worked crystal. This substantial piece features a beautifully undulating scalloped rim, deep optic-moulded panels, and a finely cut radiant starburst to the centre, creating exceptional brilliance and light reflection from every angle.
Its generous proportions make it ideal as a large centerpiece bowl or decorative salad bowl, equally striking displayed on a dining table, sideboard, or in a curated collection of fine French crystal. The refined silhouette and sophisticated cut exemplify the timeless craftsmanship for which Cristal de Montcenis became renowned during the nineteenth century.
The bowl is in good antique condition, with no restorations observed. It displays one chip as well as a few minor nicks along the rim, together with light surface scratches and signs of age consistent with more than a century of use. Please refer to the photographs, which form an integral part of the description and accurately illustrate the condition of the piece.
A beautiful and increasingly rare example of 19th-century French Cristal de Montcenis, ideal for collectors of fine antique crystal and elegant European decorative arts.
