Description fournie par le vendeur

This beautifully proportioned vase features a graceful flared trumpet-shaped bowl enhanced by broad optical vertical panels, creating a striking play of light through the exceptionally clear crystal. The lower section is richly decorated with a finely executed band of pointes de diamant cutting, resting on a substantial baluster stem above an impressive square foot deeply cut with an eight-point star.
The harmonious combination of refined proportions, geometric cutting and remarkable clarity is highly characteristic of the finest French crystal production by Montcenis / Vôneche of the early nineteenth century. The crystal remains wonderfully transparent and brilliantly reflective, displaying the luminous quality and craftsmanship that made these prestigious manufactories renowned throughout Europe.
The vase is preserved in very good antique condition for its nearly two-century age. It presents a few small chips to the edges of the square base, as shown in the photographs, together with light age-related wear (missing) consistent with preservation. These minor imperfections do not detract from its exceptional decorative presence or historical appeal.
A refined and highly decorative example of early French cut crystal, equally suited for an important collection or an elegant classical interior.
Height — 19 cm
Top diameter — 11.7 cm
Base — 7 cm x 7 cm
