Description fournie par le vendeur
Twisted Tattoo est la première sortie de Highland Park featuring whiskies matured in oak casks seasoned with Spanish Rioja wine. The resulting 16 year old single malt is said to be rich and full-bodied with a distinctively different character. Bottled at a natural cask strength of 46.7% ABV it is said to have notes of 'light heather peat and soft red fruits’. Inspired by the Viking legend of the Midgard Serpent, which twisted around the Earth to bite its own tail.
Couleur
Rich amber with copper-gold highlights and a warm, honeyed glow.
Nose
Delicate heather peat and soft red fruits rise from the glass, lifted by Rioja-seasoned oak—subtle vanilla and spice thread through the aroma.
Palais
Rich and full-bodied with a velvety mouthfeel, this carries a whisper of light heather peat. Rioja-seasoned oak threads ripe red fruits—plum, cherry, raspberry—through sherried spice. Cocoa, toasted almond, and vanilla linger, delivering a long, warming finish with a subtle peat echo.
Finale
Long, elegant finish that slowly unfurls notes of dried red fruits and soft heather peat, with Rioja-driven sweetness woven through oak. The warmth lingers in a silky, spiced glow, leaving a subtle smoky, resinous aftertaste and a refined tannic edge.
