Description fournie par le vendeur
An elegant antique crystal apéritif set dating from the early 20th century, comprising a refined decanter by Cristal d’Argental and five beautiful matching glasses. Cristal d’Argental was a distinguished French crystal production associated with the renowned Cristallerie de Saint-Louis. The name is closely connected with the artistic heritage of Saint-Louis and represents one of the celebrated lines produced by this historic manufacturer during the first half of the 20th century.
Crafted from exceptionally clear, high-quality crystal, the decanter features an elegant baluster-shaped silhouette with gently sloping shoulders, a stepped circular foot and a beautifully proportioned flat-topped stopper. Its lower body is decorated with hand-cut intersecting motifs that create a timeless geometric pattern, capturing and reflecting the light while leaving the upper section smooth for a sophisticated contrast.
The five matching glasses echo the geometric decoration of the decanter, creating a harmonious and highly decorative ensemble ideal for serving apéritifs or liqueurs.
The set is preserved in excellent antique condition, with no chips, cracks or restorations observed. The stopper is a later replacement and is not original to the decanter.
Decanter height: 8-9; 26 cm
Top diameter: 5.8-6.5; 4.5 cm
