The original artwork was illustrated by the celebrated Art Deco artist Harriet Meserole and highlights a "Late Summer / Interior Decoration" theme, depicting an elegant woman in a wide-brimmed black hat, wearing a pearl necklace and sipping a drink against a soft blue background.. The print beautifully captures the sophisticated, bold graphic and geometric aesthetics of the classic Art Deco era in the 1920's
This print originally came from the official Vogue Poster Book, published in 1975 by Harmony Books (a division of Crown Publishers, Inc. in New York, USA) under license from The Condé Nast Publications Inc..
The print exhibits an authentic aged character, including vertical crease/fold lines and an area of surface paper abrasion/scuffing in some areas where the ink has rubbed off, revealing the white paper fibers beneath (see detailed close-up photos). The graphics remain bold, and the colors are vibrant.
