Hunter-case pocket watches close over the dial with a sprung cover, and this one opens to a warm ivory dial with painted Arabic numerals, blued-steel style hands and a small seconds register at six. The inner cover is engraved with the Japanese paulownia (Go-Shichi no Kiri) crest together with a commemorative inscription in Japanese, the mark of a presentation piece rather than an ordinary retail watch. The polished gold-tone case is in excellent order and the Seiko quartz movement makes it as practical as it is decorative.
