Description fournie par le vendeur
Exceptional antique Baccarat crystal liqueur decanter dating from the second half of the 19th century, during the Napoleon III period.
The decanter presents an elegant cylindrical body with softly rounded shoulders and a long, slender neck, creating a beautifully balanced and refined silhouette. The exceptionally clear crystal is adorned with a delicate scattering of hand-applied golden stars, complemented by fine gilt bands around the base and neck.
Its distinctive loop-shaped stopper repeats the celestial decoration, creating a harmonious and particularly graceful composition. The multitude of golden stars catches the light beautifully and enhances the brilliance and purity of the crystal.
This rare decorative design reflects the exceptional craftsmanship and artistic refinement associated with the historic Baccarat manufacture. As is typical of Baccarat pieces produced before the introduction of the acid-etched signature in 1936, the decanter is unsigned.
The piece remains in good antique condition, with some traces of time and partial wear to the gilding consistent with its age. These authentic signs of history do not detract from its beauty or decorative impact. Please examine the photographs carefully, as they form an integral part of the description.
A rare and highly collectible example of 19th-century French Baccarat crystal, perfect for an elegant interior, a refined bar collection or a collection of historic French glassware.
