African Wood Carving Art Pieces

Judging from the style of these wood carvings, they are likely African in style.

The facial features are exaggerated, especially the prominent nose, deep-set eyes, and relatively square facial contours, which are common in African wood carving art (such as that from Congo, Nigeria, and Ghana).

Wood and Color: Black
The wood carvings are dark in color, and some blackening will occur with vigorous rubbing, possibly due to smoke treatment. African tribal carvings often involve blackening or staining wood to enhance its visual appeal.
