Elegant pair of antique French pressed-glass serving pieces by Le Blanc Verreries, dating from the beginning of the 20th century.
Charming pair of antique French glass compotiers, each distinguished by its own individual design and decorative character.
The first compotier features an exceptionally ornate openwork border composed of repeating heart-shaped motifs, creating an elegant lace-like effect. Its shallow bowl is richly decorated with scrolling foliage, delicate flowers and radiating details, while the sculptural pedestal and broad patterned foot add remarkable presence.
The second compotier presents a more restrained yet equally refined design. Its circular bowl is decorated with stylised ivy leaves, berries and graceful scrolling stems arranged around a striking sunburst centre. A softly twisted border, ornamental knop and beautifully moulded spiral foot complete its harmonious silhouette.
Although different in design, the two pieces complement one another beautifully through their similar proportions, clear glass and elaborate botanical decoration. Together, they form a wonderfully decorative and characterful antique pairing perfect for presenting fruit, sweets or pastries, or simply for display in an elegant interior.
Both pieces remain in excellent antique condition, with remarkable brilliance and clarity. Only very discreet traces of time may be present, entirely consistent with their age and without detracting from their beauty or functionality.
