About Artist: Joe Chinomona is a Zimbabwean visual artist whose work draws inspiration from everyday life in the communities where he lives. As the artist describes it, he “specialises in paintings that speak about the ghetto life I see every day in my life, since I live in the ghetto.” His work offers an intimate perspective on urban Zimbabwe, capturing ordinary moments, resilience, and the lived experiences of his surroundings through expressive compositions and bold use of colour.
